As you are likely aware, the proposed bond resolution presented in Tuesday's election was not passed by a significant margin (Yes-995 votes, 45%; No-1216 votes, 55% according to LocalNews8).

Though we are obviously disappointed, we want to thank you for taking the time to go to the polls and voice your opinions.  We also express our gratitude to the many people who worked so hard to learn about the bond and to share the information.

Board members and administrators are working to understand the reasons that voters rejected the bond proposal.  At this time, the Board of Trustees has not yet met to discuss their plans to address facility needs, but they will meet in the future to continue those conversations.

As a District, we must continue to move forward with our goals to increase student achievement, to continue to build positive school communities, and to provide our students with the best educational opportunities possible to prepare them for their futures.  We will continue to work closely together to build our school cultures, so students and staff can feel safe and supported.   We want to thank the staff, students, administrators, board, and patrons who have worked so hard the past five years to research and develop a new vision for our schools.

Thank you for all that you do for our students and our communities
